How long does it take for your credit report to come in?
Answers:
That sounds like a long time. Go to annualcreditreport.com and you can look at and print your credit reports once a year for free.
Call again and ask about it, it seems like it has been too long. Also, in most cases you can get one instantly online at experian.com
I bought mine online - comes through instantly!
Experian and Equifax both offer this service in the UK, and you can use them for free or for a small charge (for a limited time - you have to cancel your subscription before this runs out otherwise you get into a monthly or annual fee but it's not unreasonable, just a shock if you forget and see an extra direct debit going out on your bank statement!!). If you want to view your credit score it will cost extra, even if you subscribe to one of these services and to be honest the information in the report is more valuable than the score - mine was fantastic and I still couldn't get credit because all the lenders saw was a really old account (that I closed years ago) where I was a couple of days late with repayments - never mind that I'd either settled everything else or never missed a payment...
I think the problem is the fraud report - partial information won't help you and it's probably this that's causing the delay - they need to investigate the fraud further.
To protect yourself against such things in the future, ensure that you do not dispose of any paperwork containing personal information in your general rubbish unless you've shredded it first. This includes receipts with credit/debit card numbers, even partial, bank statements, utility bills, anything with your name and address on it, credit card application forms... all a fraudster needs is your name and address and a utility bill can be used as a form of ID!
2 moths is to long. I've recieved mine within 7-10 business days. Do a second request. Usually confirmation of a fraud alert comes separate from your report, so if you got these already I would again do a second request
