What should i do to my own sister?
WHAT SHOULD I DO
Answer:
I work for a Bankruptcy Attorney. Cancel the card, make some kind of payment even if it is 5.oo and don't sign up for ANY MORE cards no matter how bad you want something. Cards are the worst thing to have. They can mess your whole life up. I don't know how old you are but you need to realize the cards will really mess up your credit & then you will have to file bankruptcy. You will have a heck of a time trying to purchase a home, car or anything. Chaulk it up as experience, pay off the bill ASAP cuz the finance charges will rob you & then collect from your sister as you can. Or return the things your sister bought, or hide them somewhere until she can pay her share. Good luck and keep peace with your sister.
Take it out in trade.
take her to court. how much is the bill?
first off, cancel the card. She wont be able to add to the bill. I know it sucks cuz its her debt, but to save yourself, you need to bring the balance to 0$
If you dont want to cancel it completely, your only other option is to get the balance to 0$ then take your name off the card. They wont let you do it unless the balance is 0$
sorry.ive been there, i know how much it sucks!
CANCEL THE CARD. 2nd, is to get her to help you pay off the debt, but if it is not to big of a balance then pay it yourself, and never do that again. Never cosign for anything, for anyone, because they screw you in the end, and your credit life will be all screwed up for 7 long yrs.You can always take her to small claims court, but it might take you sometime before you get anywhere, and it doesn't mean she will pay you, because there is no enforcement that she has to pay the ruling.
Have you canceled the card? That is the first step. The second step is to pay the bills to protect your own credit rating. The third step is is to document the purchases and payments made by each of you. You could take here to small claims court but if she is a deadbeat, you will only get an noncollectable judgment at best.
This is the stuff that TV court loves. You might consider sending your case to one of the programs. You will both be paid for your appearance and the winner will be paid out of a fund.
Consider it a lesson learned and never again co-sign with anybody.
all good advice.others have already said, but sadly this happens all too often.cancell card, keep records, and tryto make sis repay you what you pay them
