Considering CH 13 bankruptcy.need advice?
Answer:
OK the person above me must of thought you ment chapter 7, with a chapter 13 meaning you will pay back your debt just with the help of the courts. It is not a bad thing to do I did it for the same reason just to keep my house during a pretty messy divorce. My credit was screwed and have spent the last 2 years doing anything and everything to rebuild it but I didn't love my house. So was it worth it yes it was. They will garnish your wages to pay what debt you have and you have to live on the rest but again u will keep your house so worth it.
:)
the 4 months will have to be paid if you plan on keeping your house thru all of this even if you file ch13. You will be asked to sign a paper to exclude the house only if you pay back the money otherwise they will forclose. I keep my house payments up to date when I filed ch 13 so I did not have any trouble excluding it from the bankrupcy. I paid it first if anything got paid.
