Can a company send my name to the credit agencies even though the £76 I owe them was due to their error.?
Answers:
They can do it but normally they will correct it with Experian themselves. To be on the safe side you can get in touch with Experian and register a Notice OLf Correction. This will mean you can say in your own words on your credit report why this is there and that its not your fault. You just go online to Experian.co.uk and get your credit report online or sent to you so you can check if its there. If it is then get the notice of correction registered
they can do what they like
they do what evr they can to mess you up.
If the issue is unresolved with their company, I believe they can send it to the credit agencies, and it will be open until you resolve it with them. I would be aggrivated as well, I would seek legal counsel.
absolutely, they can in a heartbeat. your credit report is your responsibility. if something is inaccurate, it's your job to get the right idiots at the company that listed it on your credit to remove the discrepency. good luck!! :)
You need to go to the Financial Ombudsman.

my mother had this happen to her. you have to contact the company and contact the creditors they sent the information to and explain. if u are completely in the right on this one and it was due to the other parties' error, they will adjust ur credit score
Yes they will send your name to the credit agencies, especially if they are going to take you to court. I would make the time and go to court and prove your side of the story so that you will have legal documents to put into the credit agencies. IF you are still not able to go to court then I suggest paying the $76.00 and going on.
they can but you can also dispute it with the credit bureau
Yes, they can but you have rights too. Look online and find out what your rights are and also, dispute the item.
In the US, the best advice is to just say it is in error and make them have to prove it, do not give additional information yourself. I don't know if that is accurate in your country.
You should find out your legal rights.
Some times it is just not worth it and you could just decide to pay it anyway.
Yes. You'll need to send a letter to the agencies explaining to them what happened and let them see the proof of the error that was made.
