Are there any banks that give people second chance that have bad credit?

Answers:
Those second chance online companies are no good, most times they require direct deposit, online banking ONLY and the banks are usually out of state. Depending on your state or the size of the banks there’s nationwide financial institutions who will give you a chance. In my state I bank with US Bank and there mostly everywhere, I noticed a couple of weeks ago that the bank had a sign in the window saying, "turned down somewhere else, come here, for a free checking acc"... So I suggest for you to call around to several local banks and inquire on what check system they use and is the bank lenient or not, don't have them run your credit unless you’re somewhat sure it will go through. Beware of internet only banking!

personally, I had bad credit, my score was under 400 until I applied for a "Orchard Bank" secured master card. A 200.00 deposit which is your spending/credit limit to get you started. They report to all major credit bureus, once creditors see you make payments on time for at least 6 months, you will be getting offers from other credit card companies. Your score will begin to increase, and you will be building a better credit history for yourself. I've done this, and now my score is over 600 in only 8 months. Make the minimum payment, keep balances low, and make small purchases, you'll get there before you know it.
