Does getting your credit pulled many times lower your credit score?
Answers:
yes this hurts your score and u should not have no more then 4 on each of the credit bureaus
Yes it does, each time a creditor pulls your credit it lowers your points no matter whom the creditor is even if they pull it a couple of times. they are trying to see how much credit you are appling for and this lowers your score because each creditor wants to know how much you may be trying to borrow.
It can if you are searching for credit haphazardly. As long as you are using credit wisely, it should not be much of a problem.
Yes it can. When I bought my house, my credit was fair. After I bought it, my score was so low I couldn't qualify for a cell phone.
It depends.
If you apply for several credit cards at one time, then yes it doe's hurt your score approx. 3-points per pull.
If on the other hand you are applying for a car or a home, then no it doe's not because the system is set up to recognize what you are doing and while all of the inquiries show on your credit, the system lumps them together and you only get dinged for one pull.
