Isn't there any place out there that isn't trying to scam a person with not good credit?

I am so tired of trying to find a loan place on the internet that isn't trying to scam someone and ask for money in advance. I realize that my credit isn't exceptional but I am just don't want to be scammed to get a loan to get myself back on track.
Any ideas and no scammers please!

Dont look for people advertising on the interent. There are just too many con artisits out there.

As always your best option is to go into your local banks and sit down with a loan specialist. They will either work something out for you, or tell you what you can do to improve your credit and get the loan.
unfortunately no. try to repair your credit without getting a loan. get a copy of your credit report from all the credit agencies, exquifax, experian and transunion. know what you are dealing with. pay your debts off smallest to largest, but make sure to pay your installement bills and loans on time. once you have paid everything on time for about a year, you can then try to renegotiate your interest rates with credit cards. continue paying off what you can, avoid paying items that are due to fall of your report. most items stay on your report 7-10 years. if there is something that doesn't belong to you on the report, dispute it with the credit agencies. If something is incorrect you can dispute it as well.

Getting another loan or credit card will lower your credit score and you'll be raped in interest. A budget and a sound plan to eliminate debt will raise your credit score and keep you on track and in the black with finances.
Once again I must agree with Iceman.

I would not even attempt to find a loan on the Internet. There are just to many scammers out there.

Go to your own local bank or credit union and sit down and talk with one of their loan officers. If they can't help you, they can at least tell you what you need to do so they can.
