When you are in a chapter13bankruptcy &you dismiss your case can the creditors come back and make you pay what

Answer:
Yes they can.

A discharge removed the automatic stay that the court orders against your creditors. Once it's removed, everything reverts back to the pre-bankruptcy conditions.

The worse part is with the new laws, you can not refile for one year. That gives your creditors lots of time to file judgements and begin collections. And now that they know you could file again, they will be much more agressive.
"Discharged" is good. "Dismissed" is bad. "Discharged" debts cannot be collected. However, if bankruptcy is "dismissed", then creditors can come and get it..
I did it, yes they can and yes they do. Mine went through for 2 years and then I dismissed it. Some of the accounts I had to hunt down them cause they had already charged it off but others knew and were going to go after me full force.

It took me about a year a half but i ended up paying all of them off thank goodness. If you plan on doing that don't contact anyone til u r ready to settle or pay them off. Looks alot better on your credit if they say paid/charge off and it does not start your 7 years over like everyone on here says. Actually some of them have already started falling off.

Almost 2 years ago my credit score was 490 and now it is 680. The 680 is hard for to take considering I bought a brand new truck when I was 19 with no cosigner and then the big D happened and lives go upside down.

If you want any help just contact me at jodi_lynn_124 on yahoo messenger it has actually become fun for me to do. So have started helping alot of people and doing pretty good at rebuliding or giving them advice to rebuild.

:)
Do you mean discharged or dismissed? Dismissed means they can continue to collect on their debts as your BK was denied by the courts. Discharged means your BK was "approved" by the courts and you are no longer responsible. Be careful of people giving legal advice that are NOT lawyers . I see a lot of them on here dishing out totally bad advice! :-(
