Normally the banks, well most financial institutions require a minimum 5 days for a item (check) to clear. It can be faster if the check is written on a bank both the customer and other party use. Also, like the other person said, it would depend when the other bank(chase) posts the item. Most banks, have a 24, 36 hour window for posting items ( hence they cover themselves with the 5 day allow period) as mentioned above. You can also go on line an check the item if you have on line banking privileges.

Call them and ask. Maybe they hold the payment until the funds clear?
It could take up to a week, but it really just depends on Chase and how backlogged they are. If you're worried I would call Chase on Monday and find out. Good luck!
