What is the difference between a bank's money card and a gift card?

Answer:
The problem with the Visa/Mastercard bank money cards is that it charges you each time you make a purchase. With most gift cards, such as Wal-Mart; there is no fee each time you use the card. If you put $100 on the card, you have $100 dollars to spend. It's not that way with the bank money cards. Check into what fees apply if you ever plan on using a bank money card.
I know part of the answer. Banks offer Gift Cards w/a VISA or MC Logo. They work just like credit cards and can be used anywhere that accepts VISA/MC, like the internet, etc. Money Card may be a term your bank uses, you may need to contact them for the answer.
Gift cards also can be purchased at retail stores and used for purchases at that store only. Hope this helps!
