It is excellent! The best thing you can have is a clean, up to date credit report showing good payment history. Behind that, the best thing you can have is a mortgage, up to date - always paid on time. The next best thing is to have American Express or Diners Club - if it's been open for 14 years that's as good as it gets. Those are absolutely the best that you can have on your credit. The other credit cards, department store cards, installment loans fall behind all of these as far as your credit rating goes.
