Anyone ever send cash by mail ($50 in cash)?
Answers:
You could send it, and it will probably get there, but you have no recourse if it is stolen or doesn't arrive.
never ever send cash in the mail...you can send check or money order :)
Best send a money order or a check. I have sent $5 or so in cash, but $50 might be a bit much. On another note if you do want to send $50 cash (which I don't recommend although it would likely be safe), consider purchasing insurance. It would likely be a buck and change and if your nephew never receives the cash it is insured.
not safe, sometimes they take it.
not too safe - better to send him a money order or one of those gift cards.
I've done it and have both had money get to where it was supposed to be, and not... so it's a risk. If you want to send money I would suggest writing a check.
While no one can guarantee it will arrive, it is extremely unlikely (though not impossible) that it will be lost or stolen.
Yes I have, several times. I know its not safe, but I have never had A problem.
I put the card in a small brown mailer envelope,
the kind with small bubble wrap.
I have done it by sending it in a UPS Next Day Air envelope. The less time in transit the better and it will make you feel better that you can always track it. If you have problems they (UPS) will help you.
Unless your trying to buy lunch for some mail man...better not.
Send a check.
Good Luck
