What credit score do need to get credit?
Answers:
This is impossible to answer, as the accepted score varies between companies, depending on their own policies and which credit reference agency they use.
As long as you haven't got bad credit, then you should be able to get a mobile contract.
To boost your credit get a first time credit card, use it monthly and pay almost all the balance off. Leave a little bit to gain interest, as people who pay their who balance off each month don't get an improvement in their credit score as they are not making any money for the credit provider.
If your credit score is not great, you vould still get credit, but it would cost more to pay it back than it would if you had excellent credit rating.
You should aim for a 740 to get the best rates.
each place has different score requirements.. tescos etc you need a high score but others you need an acceptable score. The rate will change depending on what it is if you get a loan but mobile phones etc you should be fine.
It depends. Usually you would need more then 600+ to apply for a credit card.
Usually anything above 600 is considered "fair" but you should always strive to have stellar credit. If your credit score (FICO) is too low you wont get the good rates and deals that people with better scores are getting.
When you're trying to rebuild your credit score it's important to get a comprehensive view of what is actually effecting it...
Your Credit Score is calculated with the following breakdown:
35 - Payment History
30 - Credit to Debt Ratio
15 - Credit History
10 - New Credit
10 - Credit Types in Use
If you excel in one area and lack in another, only fixing the areas which you lack are going to improve your score.
