How do I cancel it...?

My mom just applied for a Gold Mastercard from Orchard Bank and got approved through the internet, but now we did some research and heard it was a bad idea. How do I cancel it for her before paying all the fees when we get it?

You may be able to cancel the card, but you may not be able to stop the fees. If your mother agreed to the terms and conditions, she is still liable for all applicable fees. If you call and speak to a customer service rep they may waive the fees upon cancellation of the card. The number to call is 1-503-293-4037 and press 0 a few times and you will get a rep on the line.
You should have received a confirmation email -- you have time to cancel it.

And why would you be paying fees on a credit card?

I'd also contact Orchard Bank, and the Banking Assn in your state
