Once a credit card account has been closed, is it possible to reactivate?
Answer:
Alot depends on who the account was with, how long ago it was and if it was you or them that closed it (and why, charge off etc).
If the account was closed by you and it was in good standing when closed, some companies will reactivate it with no problems, some will pull your credit report first and some will tell you to just reapply.
If the account was closed by the credit grantor due to it being charged off, some companies have rehab programs where you pay the outstanding balance and they will allow the card to be reopened.
The best thing to do is just call and ask.
It depends on the circumstances. If the account was closed by the creditor, probably not. If the account was closed by the customer, then you may be able to. It also depends on the credit card company. Personally, if you closed it, don't reactivate it- nothing but TROUBLE!

Probably not possible.
It would probably just be easier to apply for a new account later on; your credit rating will be the basis of their decision to give you another account and at what interest rate and for how much.
