Anyone pls explain why my credit scores from freecreditreport.com is different from what my lender retrieved?
Answers:
he should know
No that is not true, my scores were higher when ran through Landsafe (a lot of lender's use Landsafe) than when I personally did an inquiry through annualcreditreport.com.
Typically when the consumer requests a copy of their credit report the fico score is inflated. This is because they want you to go out and make a purchase on credit its good for the economy so it's pretty much not accurate. You must request your credit score through the bureaus direct not a third party credit reporting agency not reliable.
i don't know, but did you know everyone is entitled to a free credit report every 12 months per federal law, without having to purchase any credit monitoring service? The site also has info that might be helpful.
I use myfico.com to view my credit score and all the alerts, new accounts, balance increases, history, and other wonderful features. I'm surprised that freecreditreport.com was different if all Exp, Trans, Equifax showed differences. Each credit bureaus have different scores. Did freecreditreport have one bureau and your lender another??
Your lender is correct. You are going to trust a company online and give them your identity, ssn #, DOB, address for free services, and not expect something to go wrong?
I am sorry, but people have it backwards, they trust a computer and internet and question the trained professionals who have been doing thier job for years. The internet gave you a bunch of numbers. The loan officer gave you what was correct on your credit report. The company (Landsafe, credit plus, CBCS, etc. all have the same imorfation and scores quit checking! you will only lower your score.)
What will happen next, is one of two things, you will either get spammed or scammed. Watch your credit cards and bank accounts for unuasual activities. You may get emails from companies saying that someone is trying to use your card calling themselves identity theft watch dogs. They are all ads designed to get the last 4 digits of your credit cards. Don't fall for it.
Make sure your loan officer has been in the buisness for more then 3 years, and do not have a crimianal record. Broker shops can and will hire the ex-con, banks will not.
Good luck.
