Just wanted to add, you could always move to Siberia - permanently. I don't think they'd look for you there.

And if you don't pay them they will freeze your checking account and take whatever money is in it. This is the goverment your are dealing with and they want there money.
They are worse than the IRS.
Get a credit or several and tranfer the balance. Don't pay the credit card.
Dude I went to undergrad with put all of his tuition on credit cards. He didn't pay a dime on them. He got his education for FREE.
Pay them amigo . What is wrong with you ? We've work our butts off to pay taxes so you can get your student loan for your college. Now pay them off.

Not anymore too many students burned the government on student loans by filing bankruptcy so they changed the laws.
