How can I find out what collection agencies I owe money to?
Answers:
You can pull a free credit report once a year from Experian, TransUnion and Equifax for free. It will list your creditors and the status of those accounts. Most times it will list the original creditor. Then you can write them letters asking the original creditor and almost always they will negotiate with you for pennies on the dollar.
Have you requested a credit report? That report will have your creditors listed. If those bills are a few years old, they should have dropped off by now. You can write a letter and ask to have them dropped.
If they're more recent, you should call a non-profit credit repair agency and have them help you organize a payment plan, and then write your letters. After you've made a few payments, they'll change their reporting.
Check your credit reports. You need to this every year, and it's free. There are 3 major credit reporting agencies, so make sure and check all three! Anyone you owe money to should be listed there.

You would want to check your credit report. Like some one else stated if the report shows the actual company and not just the collection agency you can talk to that company and work out a payment, once you do that you can write or call the collection agency and tell them you are handling this matter with company then legally they have to stop sending you letters or calling you. So if you can dual with the company you owe the money to and not the collections agency.
You can go to freecreditreport.com and view you credit, free. I've done it all you have to do is call and cancel before 30 days otherwise they will charge you $12.95
