I would only do it if it makes sense for you. That is if the information provided is as valuable or more valuable than $40.
For me, it wouldn't be worth it as most of these products just have a list of companies and do not guarantee a position.
In general you should be skeptical of products that make outlandish claims - if everybody could make a lot of money sitting at home filling out forms then we'd all be doing it!

What do you get for $40... complete instructions? Those are the kinds of pyramid schemes where your $40 is split with people who refer others to pay $40 to recruit others for $40. If you want to invest money to make money, invest it in your own business with a legitimate business license and Tax ID and run your own business where you can make $40 (and alot more) instead of paying it. There are a number of those "opportunities" out there ... pass on them. You're intelligent. Work for yourself in which you get 100% of profit after taxes and expenses instead of sharing your time and energy to make money for others. The people at the bottom of the pyramid always lose.
