I borrowed an annoying boss's information from his desk drawer to apply for a credit card in his name.?

I ended up with several and they are at the limit. I couldn't get a card on my own and this guy was a polyester wearing dweeb with perfect credit. I was paying one with cash advances from another. If I report them stolen will they be cancelled with a zero balance so he doesn't know or should I just change the mailing address? He can't trace them to me I hope. I was fired from the job anyway.

Answer:
I hope this was just a question to get people upset. If not, you're really in trouble. Your best defense I would have to say mental illness. They have your address and phone number, even if you change the address it doesn't matter because companies keep all your old information. This is cc fraud, identity theft, and who knows what else. You should go check yourself in somewhere. Oh, by the way, when they catch you and go through your computer and see your question and all our answers that will really look good on your behalf.
Whatever you get, you defiantly deserve.
The best possible move you have is to post the fact that you commited a series of felonies on the internet, then hope for the best.

Since you have completed phase #1 of the plan, move on to phase 2.
You broke the law. You will most likely be caught the next time he has his credit report pulled and you will deserve whatever punishment you receive. I'm sorry to be so blunt, but you probably already know all this.

Besides, hasn't your physic told you what's coming yet?
It would be so easy to trace it back to you it's not even funny.
Wow! I am wondering what all you bought? No seriously, if you report them stolen it does not zero out the balance, and I'm not sure how they would be able to contact him since they only have your phone number and address. Since you aren't going to pay the bills it wouldn't make sense to report them stolen -they will only send you new cards with the balance from the old card. and cancel the old account number. Better change the address to a fictitious address. Give that a whirl and see if it works.
Does it really matter that he was a dweeb? You stole his information, his good name, and his perfect credit. Of course it can be traced back to you - the credit card company has your address. Any history of mental illness? Talk to an attorney, maybe that could help in the court case.
Your but deserve to sit in jail for 20-30 years. It is people like you that make the rest of us suffer.
Many places that you used the cards at probably had camera surveillance. They can just review the picture BUSTED!
It can be traced back to you esp if you ordered anything online or thru mailorder. You are looking at some jail time. Start looking for a lawyer.
Is this a serious question? Even if you could report them stolen, there would be no zero balance unless they confirmed with your boss that they were stolen, at which time they would learn he never ordered them in the first place.

This is identity theft and could be a Federal matter by now. it won't be hard to figure out who you actually are. You need to get a lawyer at this point, and make some sort of a deal - otherwise you have royally screwed yourself.
Reporting them stolen won't zero the balance and most likely will raise a red flag with the company that issued them. Meaning they will start looking into the guy's history and most likely figure out that there are two different people using the same ID.

Your best bet.turn yourself in, because you've committed a series of felonies and the credit card companies have lots of money to use to find you with if you don't. Chances are they will contact him and ask for a list of past employees.
You're going to jail. get ready. If you are dumb enough to think you would get away with what you did, I'm not surprised you were fired. I'm amazed you were even hired!
