Set up a trust fund in a field in which you're interested.
Give to a charity.
Set up you own charity.
Simply give it to friends and rellies.
share that wealth by investing it further.
Think about sponsoring a child in a developing country. Or make a regular contribution (gift aided so the gvmt doesn't get its paws on it) to your favourite charity - local or international. What a nice thought.

Start with protecting yourself . health/life/property insurance, long term care insurance, and disability insurance for example. Nothing can drain assets faster than a lawsuit or health crisis. Make sure to have both a will and a trust instead of just a will which will save your beneficiaries the time and expense of going through probate. If you are employed (or not), make sure to invest to the max in a retirement fund that's tax free. Once those goals are accomplished, feel free to distribute assets if that gives you a better feeling. Start with family and then friends and then the community. There are amazing organizations out there that will help those in need.
