You could do odd jobs around the neighborhood, babysit, mow lawns, trim hedges, clean garages, do housework, etc.,
Perhaps in a camp or in a theme park. Do you have any special skills, like are you good with computers? then maybe you can work in a store that fixes computers. my cousin did that, but he was a wiz kid who used to disassemble electronics and build new things out of the parts.
First of all, check your state laws-some states allow businesses to hire 14 year olds, and some do not. There's also probably a lot of restrictions about how much/when/where you can work.
At 14 you're probably not going to get a lot of opportunities, but your best bet is probably restuarants-fast food restaurants tend to hire younger workers and even nicer restaurants will hire young teens to be dishwashers. Also, check garden centers.
If you don't want a formal job, put up a flier around your neighborhood offering services like babysitting. Another good one is pet sitting, because so many people travel over the summer.
