Yahoo has cheated me by saying you have won $500 prize and take away with my $8.75 e-gold money?

Yahoo recently emailed me that I have won cash prize of $500 and asked me to claim that prize by becoming their premium member in games.yahoo.com which charged me $8.75 from my e-gold account. As soon as i filled the membership form $8.75 from my e-gold account transferred to yahoo's e-gold account but $500 wasn't transferred to my e-gold account as said by the yahoo.I want to know why this kind of activity is done to its member. Is it justifiable? I want answer from yahoo.com

Answers:
It was most likely fraud - report it to Yahoo customer care, particularly the original notice "from Yahoo" that you won the prize in the first place
are you shocked?? i have no idea why we are even on this site. i do like answering questions. but, i do not trust yahoo anything.
the email u got wasnt from yahoo, its a spam email, consider the fact u didnt even enter a competition to win this money, just treat it as junk in future
Yes, it happened to me too. I only get offered just a bag to exchange for my address and personnel information. I didn't want a bag, so I didn't have to give out anything.
