When you apply for a credit card, if you get accepted, do you automatically get the card?
Answers:
If you applied that is considered your decision to accept the card if approved. You have the final decision as far as not using the card, or not activating the card upon receipt. However, you will receive the card if approved. By not using but accepting the card you have the (possible ) built in benefit of it improving your credit score. The only way this could work to your disadvantage is if there is a yearly fee for the credit card. If you decide you do not want the card call the customers service and explain the situation to them. GOOD LUCK
If you're not approved, you'll get a decline letter. If you're approved, you'll get an approval letter, and the card will follow in a few days.
If you are accepted online they will send your card in the mail .
Since you made the application, if approved they will
send you the card, you can cancel it as soon as you get
it but if you didn't want the card, why apply?
You will get the card if approved. By signing the application or agreeing online to their terms, you have indicated that you want the card.
Depends on who is offering card, beware of scams on charge cards over Internet. If you have a credit score of 650 or higher, you should talk directy to bank about Visa/Master card. Shop rates. credit cards will charge late fees and get up to 25% APR and now share in reporting with other companies to wring any money they can out of you. Smart thing to do if possible, pay cash. If you must use credit, pay off immediatley to establish credit but not interest charges.
