How do I know if my paycheck is being garnished by some debt collector?

Answer:
I do not think debt collector can garnished your wage without the court order.

IRS can, child support service can. Only government entity can do that
It will tell you on your pay stubs.it is usually indicated in the garnish category of expenses..hope this helps!
You won't have as much money. Every deduction from your paycheck is listed on the paystub. If you see something there you don't understand, ask your HR person.
look at the stub. if there is something you don't understand, ask the payroll department.
