What is ?
Answers:
that is the 3 digit number at the back of your credit card, it is supposed to be an extra security measure but I don't see how because if someone already has your card, well they have number too! I guess it stops another kind of credit card fraud
Turn over the card (EXCEPT American Express cards == see at end)
Look in the 'box' where you sign.
In the top right-hand corner you will see some numbers.
The CVV number is the LAST (or ONLY) 3 digits - if there is more than one set of numbers, it's the group of 3 on their own.
For American Express - look at the front of the card.
On the far right hand side, just ABOVE the last digit of the card number (raised numbers) you will see a group of 4 digits in smaller text .. enter all 4 (or if only 3 are wanted, the last 3)
On your signature strip on your card there is a four figure number and a three figure number.
the cvv number is the three figure number on the signature strip.
go to the bank website that issued the card there you can do a search and find where it is on the card. most are on the back but some (like American express) have it on the front
