Apply online credit card from American express credit card company is right decision or not? What sort of things does American Express look at when applying for a card, especially for business?

Well, it looks at all the same things as if you apply through mail.
They pull your credit, and look at your score, to see how credit worthy you are. That is one of the main things.
I do not recommend AMEX , as you have to pay the full balance off at the end of each month.
Also, if you would like to get credit for your business, there is a way that you can establish business credit , without touching your personal credit. You would establish a PAYDEX score for your corporate credit, opposed to your Fico Score for your personal credit.

Sure it's ok to apply online. They will check prior credit history. Personally I'd rather apply for Visa.
