Help! What credit card is good for me?

Okay Im 18 years old. And i want a credit card for small things when i dont have it like gas. I DO work full time so its not like I cant pay it. But I have no clue about APR what should I look for?

Answers:
You say you work full time and that you only need plastic when you don’t have cash available right? Then the best card for you is a prepaid visa/mc "cash" cards. Aviailable at those check cashing centers. You take a portion of your earnings and put it in a card and that way you have that "cash" available, just in the card form.

Regular credit card should be used for large items (furniture, gifts) that may or may not be in your budget or that unexpected frivolous expense e.g.: taking someone out on the spur of the moment. (Just be careful).

Credit limits are determined by lots of things (current income & length of employment & credit history: loan payments, utilities payment, etc.)

The one thing I will advise about APR (interest rate) is not to sign up for those cards that have an introductory rate. Once the period is over, the rate skyrockets. Again be careful!!

You would be best to just ask you bank for their basic consumer Credit card. Their Interest rate is usually competitive. Just be careful!!

All card companies will send you blank checks each month for fast cash oppertunities. Tear them up! Their fees & rates alone aren't with the trouble.

Here's a tip to lower the Interest rate

For the first year Pay off your balance. Then stop using the card for at least three month. Call the Card Company and attempt to cancel the card. When asked why, tell them that you feel the rate is too high. 99% of the time they will want to retain you as a customer and offer you a lower rate. Just be careful

Here is a tip on how to raise credit limit.

Keep a balance. Pay your bill on time each month and always pay at least (but not limited to) 110% of the minimum payment. After a 16month period the card company is obligated to rise your limit.

IF I HAVEN"T SAID IT BEFORE: BE CAREFUL

Hope these tips help you and others reading as they have surely helped me.
best to ask and get 1 from your bank
you can ask the bank you bank with.. they will sure give you a good advice.. and your first credit card will have a higher APR.. because you are just starting credit (beginner)... as time goes on.. and you pay everything on time.. or minimum.. the APR rate will lower down..
If you think that you'll be able to pay off the balance every month, try the American Express Gold card. It has an annual fee, but you don't have to pay any interest.
My personal opinion is that you shouldn't get a credit card at all. I started with credit cards the same way when I was younger. I would use it for small items and then pay off the balance each month. But then as the balance began to grow, I thought it was okay to keep a balance from month to month. Needless to say, I am still paying for little things that I charged many years ago. The minmum payments alone on my credit cards eat up a lot of my paycheck still. My advice would be to start building up an emergency fund of savings to help get you through when unexpected things happen. That is just my opinion from past experience with credit cards. If you do get a card, though, be careful of "introductory rates" that suck you in. Most times if you are late with one payment, the interest rate goes way way up and won't go back down.
Maybe you can try below website to get the information you need. It's about how to find the best credit cards articles for your second opinion.
American Blue Express Credit Card: Apart from no annual fee feature of the American Blue Express it also gives cash returns on specific purchases. Users of the American Blue Express also enjoy protection against fraud for online credit card transactions. This card tries to right the various wrong notions about the American Express credit cards, one of which is that it is a credit card only for rich or those who have money to keep a credit card.
