My dad bought a motorcycle in my name, his wife didn't tell me the monthly payment was raised, credit wrecked
Answer:
I would have sued your father 7 years ago. You should probably do so now. The creditor may be partially at fault as well. If you mother-in-law told them she would alert you of the changes, they should have known they were not dealing directly with you. When you did not increase your payments, the should have known she did not alert you. Between your credit report and the account you were using to make payments, they should have been able to locate you if they actually tried.
While you are sorting the situation out, you can have a statement attached to your credit report explaining your side of the story. It won't change the entry on your report, but it may be considered by a potential creditor when deciding if they will approve credit.
I would go and talk to a lawyer because, no one else can or should use you social security number. That is fraud! That is really messed up. A lawyer will be able to steer you in the right of what to do.
it's a fact he dont care a ** about you or your feeling . protect your self go to where he bought the cycle and explain to them what happen . let them take it from there.it looks to me that you and your dad dont have much of a realation ship . let him be resposible for his own action's
If your dad is rich, why not sue his butt? And press charges to your stepmom. Even if you return the cycle, your credit is wrecked. You would have to hire a person to correct your credit, to get your credit score up.
