No! You will not be able to return the gift card for any reasons. It does not matter if you have the original receipt and it has not been used, they will not allow you to return it. If you read the back of the card it will have something to the effect of the card is "Not Redeamable for Cash".
Your best chance is to sell it on a site like E-Bay, it will be for reduced value but someone will buy it. Your other option is to "Re-Gift" and give it to another person as a gift.
Call Walgreens and ask them.
