Credit report is not showing my other depts with collection agencies?

I just did a free credit report with eqifax and experian and its not showing all the depts I owe. I owe collection agencies for Washington Mutual, Bank of America, & Ebay a total of 600.00 all together. These were from a few years ago. Do I still have to pay? Most of the agencies stopped calling me.

Answer:
Johnsmatrix kinda has the basics down, but you should really find out the statute of limitations (SOL) for your state before you start disputing or sending pay for delete letters.

Order your TransUnion report to make sure they aren't reporting on it either.

If you are out of SOL, you are not legally bound to pay them anything.

If you are still in SOL or you want to pay whether you are in or out of SOL, you should send them a debt validation letter - send it certified mail return receipt. Since they aren't reporting, you have nothing to dispute with the credit bureaus. Just keep an eye on them for insertions.

After you receive validation from the collection agency's, you can do one of two things, either send a pay for delete or if you are out of SOL and don't want to pay, send a SOL letter.

You might check out the link I've provided and do some reading in the newbie forum and then in the credit forum. Read about validation, pay for delete, your states SOL and SOL letters.
I'd be happy to be in your shoes on this! I owe bills that show up on everything! I do pay them, but it takes time when you work for min. wage! But until they're paid, it hangs over your head, and you can't do anything. But the laws were different a few years ago, they may have just written it off or something. ( I also have bills I owe that don't show up on credit reports.).But I pay them a.s.a.p.
Do not pay them. When you pay you reset the date of the account making it current. Bad..
#1. Pay for your credit report online and verifiy that the information is really not there. I suggest truecredit.com .
#2. If on your credit report dispute all your collections.
#3. If they stay on send "pay for delete" letters to the collecton agencies.
There will be times that some of your debts are not reported to every credit bureau. It depends on who the lender reports to. However it doesn't mean that you aren't responsible for them. When you apply for a house or a car or what ever, the lender that you go through may pull from all three or just one. Since you will never know what they are going to find, it's better to pay the debt rather to have someone else find it and put you in an embarrassing situation. Also, just because the calls have stopped now doesn't mean that they won't turn it over to a collection agency later. They can and very well might hunt you down in order to collect on it. They are ruthless and will do anything to get you to make that payment.
