I was 4 days late on my credit card payment, were my credit scored dropped alot?

I filed bankruptcy in 1999 and since then have really tried to get my bills payed on time to reestablish my credit. I have had this credit card for 3 years and was never late. This month was crazy and I somehow forgot. Is this that big of a deal as far as my credit rating?

Answer:
It will report after 30 days. Just be aware of the late fee
No. But I hope you don't have to pay a late fee, which can be around $25.00.
A one off mistake won't do you any good, but it's unlikely to do you much harm either.#

In other words, no it's not a big deal.
they ususlally give you a period of grace.especially if this is the first time it was late. i wouldnt worry about it. i think the grace period is about ten days. not a good habit to ge into but 4 days is nothing to sweat about.
Late payments aren't typically reported unless it's over 30 days past due.
If you have a good track record with this company, call them up and ask if they can waive the fee and forgive your lateness. It has happened to me and I was told they will do it one time as a gesture of good will. Just tell the truth--life went crazy and you forgot to mail it on time. Be apologetic and kind.
