If a creditor removes a derogatory statement from your credit files with an apology?

Can you still sue for damages? if so how much?

Answer:
you would most likely be suing the creditor. the creditor is the person putting stuff on the report.
Sure you can sue, but you won't win since no actual damages occurred.
You can sue for anything you want. You will not win but you CAN sue.
