Is there any way i can check whether somone else is using my social security number?

Answers:
If you are concerned that someone may be working using your SSN you can order a copy of your Social Security History online. These wouldn't be exactly up to the minute but would give you an indication if it was used in the past. You may be able to visit your local social security office and receive more up to date information. If you are concerned that someone may be using your SSN to obtain credit you can order a copy of your credit report from the credit reporting agencies. You can get a free annual credit report (one from each of the 3 major credit reporting agencies) by going to annualcreditreport.com Once you receive your reports look them over to determine if there are any accounts listed that do not belong to you. Depending on what you find out will determine what steps you should take next. Good Luck
You can get a credit report. That will show you if people have been trying to buy stuff in your name. Most places will run a credit check on large purchases. Other wise get in touch with your local social security office. They would have specific info for you. And if you have evidence or reason to believe that someone has, you should report that to them anyway.
Best thing to do is get a copy of your 3bureau credit reports and see any accounts opened that you are unaware of, and check the inquiries also to see who has checked your credit.
If in serious doubt, you can request a "Freeze" on your credit and this causes any new requests for credit to be verified further.
personally if your concerned that someone is using your ssn I wouldn't do ANYTHING online. The best way to get a copy of your credit report with out having an inquiry is to call your credit card company and get a thirty day product try it out EX. I have a product with Discover card that sends me a copy of my credit report every 3 months (Quarterly) from all three agencies Equifax, Transunion, and Experian. If there are things on there that are not from you they help you take care of it. Other credit card companies have it but from the ones i've tried they suck... try that first. if you don't have a credit card go to your bank and speak with them. they have something similar.
