i called a collection agency to try to pay what i can in debt and told them i only have one contact number. the lady pissed me off with her attidtude and called me back at my job. i reported her to the bbb. is it legal for them to contact at your place of work??

Answer:
The actual law is worded below.

Write them a certified letter telling them to cease and desist. If they call your employment again, you can sue them for $1000.

ps.please quit wasting your time with the BBB. That group of clowns has no authority, will not help you, and is a joke.
They can call you at work but they CAN NOT harass you at work or home!@
You have to tell them that you are not allowed to accept personal calls at your place of employment.
They can't get ANY money from you if you lose your job!
they can contact you at work one time.. if you do not want the creditors to call your job you have every right to tell them not to contact you at work. they must abide by it..
