Are you asking if you can get 'sued' without being 'confronted' face to face? You are supposed to be served when you are being sued. They are supposed to hand you a summons to come to court to appear before a judge. But my clients tell me all the time that they have a judgement against them for which they never got served. You can probably check with the court clerk for generall sessions court to find out.
