I have $1425 on my Chase & $300 on my Discover.. Just paid off the Victoria's Secret.. yay! But I also have a $3660 loan on my Invisalign braces and still owe $2860 on my car. And yeah, I have been working on controlling my spending, too.. I haven't went shopping and spent my own money in over a month! I mean, I still buy little stupid stuff, but no big shopping sprees for a while. I even made a budget on a spreadsheet to figure out how long it will take to pay off each bill.. assuming I stick to it ;P
I just mailed a $500 payment today so that put my balance to about $100.
I'm with you on that one. I have to get my husband to control his spending. I personally only have $250 on mine. My husband on the other hand has about $20,000 total on about 5 different cards. Talk about stress!!
I know you said not to answer but I couldn't help myself. Cut your cards up TODAY. If you have more than one, pay minimums on all but the lowest balance one (ignore the APRs), and on that one pay everything you can possibly afford until it is GONE. Repeat as necessary.
Only buy things with money you already have!

we have had the same thing. our credit is perfect,because,when we got to a high point.we just stoped,and payed it off.no more credit,untill it was paid,we can get along with a lot less than we think we can. if you don't have the money,don't buy it,and you have to pay the card off back. now,when i charge,i pay it off at the end of the month,and never any interest on my bill. watch it,and don't buy.. untill you save and can pay for it,and not charge. a credit card makes you not wait, but you have to wait.. not now... build character,and you will be a stronger person when you win this battle.
