Hello, It can only stay on your record for 7 yrs or 180 days from the date you where first late. 7.5 yrs max. Look at the free site I have listed below. they have limited info right now but will be adding more soon. Look at Authorized user to help you. Also they can get your foreclosure off your credit but that is a fee for the info.

Blacklisting totally depends on what it was for. I had credit problems that only lasted 2 years and now I'm getting my first mortgage. Yay! If you can now get credit cards you're in with a chance. You need to get a mortgage advisor. I know an excellent one as long as you're in the UK (I can't always tell on here). You don't pay her any money, the mortgage companies do. Probably not but you say youu can get a bank card and a credit card. My step daughter claimed bankruptcy due to credit card debt and student loans. She had a credit card that she hadn't used so she was told to charge little things like a pizza and then pay it off each month. This helped her build back her credit rating to the point she can now get a mortgage if she so desires.
