Does discharged bankruptcies come off your record?

Answers:
If it is DISCHARGED and is indicated as such on your credit report, it's not that difficult to have removed. We have repaired over 15,000 people's credit. We are successful at getting items like this removed 80% of the time when we prepare the dispute letters that are to be sent to the CRA's. Just about everyone thinks these things are chiseled in stone because, *gasp*, it's a bankrupcy. Truth is, the government has been very, very good about giving people a second chance once the BK has been discharged.
Don't listen to anyone that says that it can't be done, because I've seen it, many many times.
Good luck!
eventually, yes but it can remain on your credit report for 7-10 years
It takes 10 years for bankruptcy and 7 years for foreclosures.
Technically, such events remain on your record for seven years. In reality, such actions are always on your record but creditors may not act with such in mind.
The Fair Credit Reporting Act requires credit bureaus to remove bankruptcy reports after 10 years.
Yes but not until 10-years has passed.
