AHH!! Credit cards?
So, what do I do if I go to a bank tomorrow and it refuses to give me a secured credit card?
Does not having a credit history affect your ability to get financial aid for grad school thru the FAFSA??
So, what if I can never ever get a credit card or history in my entire life because the credit card places will not give me a credit card and I cannot do what I want to do and I cannot take a vacation or buy a car or a house or anything? And my whole life ends up being ruined because of this stupid thing about you need a credit history to get a credit card??

The best way to build credit so that you could get a credit card is to take an amount of money.Let's say 1,000 and deposit it at a bank. Then at the same bank take out a loan of 800(LTV must be below 80%) and pay off the loan over 1yr. Use the 1,000 as collateral. Then apply for a credit card. If you are applying for credit cards and getting turned down it is hurting your credit. The best thing that you could do right now is to pay all of your bills on time and build your credit the way I mentioned above.
Why would a bank just give you a credit card if they don't know anything about your ability to manage your money? Open a checking and a savings account and use them. The bank assistants will help show you how to keep track of your money coming in and going out and how to balance your statement. .Keep track of the money you put into the checking account and the money you take out (via checks or debit card). Put a regular amount into the savings account every month and leave it there. If you save money and you don't overdraw your checking account the bank will see that you have some idea of how to manage your money and then you can apply for a credit card.
Not sure about the FAFSA question but the grad school admissions office should be able to help you with that.
You do have credit already. Once you start paying your student loans, you will have established a credit history.
However, the only thing preventing you from getting a credit card is a job. Credit history means TIME. You have to have been employed for a period of TIME to show income stability. You have to pay your student loans monthly for a period of TIME to show credit worthiness.
In the interim, do NOT try for a secured card..that is considered bad debt/credit. That will hurt you six months from now if you want to finance a vehicle or other big ticket item.
If you have a job already, you CAN get a credit card. The easiest ones to obtain are dept store cards (Sears, JC PENNEY, etc).
Once you get one.you'll be offered a million others.
I wonder though, what's your hurry to incur long term debt?
