If I change my name to what coworkers and others call me anyway, will it affect my credit and all that jazz?

I'm seriously contemplating changing my name to what people end up calling me since they have trouble pronouncing it correctly since it's spelled unusually. There are other reasons, but I'm curious if it will negatively (or positively) impact certain aspects of life, such as credit.

If you change your name legally, it won't have any effect at all. If you change your name without doing it legally, it'll only be a matter of time before the creditors catch up with you.
Not really, as you will still have the same ssn and it is legally yours. Once you have made the name change, you will just need to send a copy to the 3 credit bureaus so that it will not send a red flag that someone is trying to create id fraud. To bad it doesnt give a clean slate in other areas of our life also. A new name, a fresh start. No just the same baggage with a new title.
It will not have an effect on your credit, because your credit is manly linked to your ssn not your name. It will show on your credit report that you have a different name, but that is it.
Your credit data is attached to your social security number, so any name change will not affect creditors' ability to see your credit. It may affect your credit in this way: creditors will be able to see that you are using at least two names for credit purposes. I do not think this will affect your credit rating, but they see all of your "aliases".
Well, I think that it only matters what your opinion is.
But since you asked, is it Lamaan?
I thought it was beautiful and exotic, and mine is hard to pronounce too. My real name everyone says it wrong.
Depends on what you prefer. It is a beautiful name if it is the one you asked about earlier.
Blessings
Changing your name should not impact your credit either negatively or positively b/c your credit and everything that shows up on it is based on your social security number. That is why when you apply for credit products it asks you "Have you obtained credit under another name?" Your credit report will list things such as maiden names on it.
