IS HSBC A GOOD COMPANY TO GET A PERSONEL LOAN OFF OF?

I thought I answered this question to your satisfaction. I forgot to mention, nobody can guess what your rate will be or even if your application will be approved. I have 18% on a personal credit line through my bank and my fico is 780. So its almost the rate as a credit card, but I can go into the bank and get cash instead of having to make purchases at POS locations.
Well a personal loan requires a very good credit history from any bank. Let me rephrase that, you need an Excellent repayment history to be approved for a personal loan.
A credit card is much easier to apply and get approved for, but you might only get $500 spending limit and the interest rate is very high. A risk they will take due to the low amount and ability to adjust your limits higher or lower. With a personal loan that is not possible and probably not available without a cosigner if you have so so credit.
We have 3 loans by them.
If it is fixed rate, they are ok, though you can do better interest elsewheres. As for non fixed rate, do not trust them, they will charge eventually higher than department stores, especially if you ask them to lower the rate.
I like us bank for non fixed rate.
You may be able to get better interest rates for a personal loan somewhere else.
But I would like to say that I have been doing business with HSBC for 1 year (a savings account paying 5.05 %, and certificate of deposits, now paying 5.25%) and I have never had any problems at all with HSBC.
I have never had any loans with HSBC, so I have no experience with their loans.
