What if you were me and you did the same mistake I did back on 12/30/00?

I'm only posting this because I want to hear from you on how you would would feel if you went through my situation.
Tell me how'd YOU'D feel, ok?

1) You're going on 22 the next month of January of 2001.
2) You have between $10,000 to $11,000 saved up that you worked extremely hard for through all that the PAIN, MISERY, and SACRIFICE to get it.
3) You make the STUPID mistake of spending it all on a car and now you're flat broke just like that.
4) You're still in college.
5) You don't have a real job yet.
6) You don't have a credit history yet.
7) You realize that if you spent $2,500 on a older car, you'd still have $7,500 to $8,500 for security and to have a little fun with.
8) Despite spending it on a car with under 25K, all of that money is gone so you can't have any FUN with it. No boombox, no girls, nothing you'd find enjoyable to spend it on...
9) Just like that, any of that money you were gonna save up for your future is now gone...

HOW WOULD YOU FEEL?

Answers:
It doesnt matter how we would all feel. Feelings dont matter when dealing with money.
The most important thing is that you know you made a mistake. Thats huge! There are people out there who are 40, 50, 60 years old making silly decisions with their money. Since you feel so crummy right now, I'd be willing to bet that you WONT be making bad financial decisions when you're that age.
Hopefully you bought a car that is in good condition.
Now, quit crying and start moving forward. There are only two ways you get to move in life (1)forward with purpose and a plan or (2) forward without a plan. You cant go back.
Choose how you want to move forward.

You need to replace $10K in your savings account. NO PROBLEM. You did it once, you can do it again!
You can sell the car.
OR
You can get a job, even get a second job for a few months. Spend less money, go out to eat less, cut your bills.
Make a plan.
If you can save $100 a week, you'll have that money back in less than 2 years.
If you can save $200 a week, you'll have it all back in less than a year!
And if it takes you longer, thats okay. The important thing is that you made a mistake, learned from it, and are now moving forward with purpose.and a plan.
But try not to think about money as just something to have un with. Girls, boomboxes... come on, man! Money is power. Money is freedom to make your own choices. Here's hoping you make better choices next time.
Good luck!
Be postive. At least you have a good running car with AC. You could have bought an older car and then have to put in so much money in for repairs. You are ahead of the game. Better to spend money on a big item and have something to show for it than to blow your money on eating out and etc and have nothing to show for it. Money comes and goes you have a car. Be happy
i'd make sure i bought a kick * car to look cool driving around in lol

seriously, spending 10k on a car isn't even that bad..

money is just paper.. it comes and goes.. you can always work and get more..

i'd get over it and move on with life in my nice, new, sweet ride!!!
