Once a credit card account is closed with balance paid, can you be charged interest at end of billing cycle?

Answers:
I just dealt with this same issue. If you read the fine print on the back of your statement it will likely say the same thing mine did. Basically if you pay your balance in full every month you will not be charged finance charges. However, if you pay anything less than that and keep a "running balance" you are responsible for the interest at the end of the billing cycle. I called and argued with them though and was able to get one card to waive the entire finance charge and the other to wave half. Definitely call them and put up a fight, it cant hurt.
If the payment wasn't received before the next billing cycle started, then yes
