Can I use my british debit card to buy something from an american website?

I want to buy flowers for relatives who live in the States, but interflora is so expensive. I have found some local florists, but will my british debit card work?

Answers:
If your card has a visa or mastercard logo on then i don't see why you can't.
Some US websites will accept Solo/Maestro but not many. When you reach the checkout, you see the Payment Method option with a list of cards that they accept. If Solo/Maestro or even Visa Delta is not in the list, you are unlucky
yes it will
try it,you have a 50/50 chance
it will probably work as long as it is visa/mc

I was able to use my US debit in London without problems. The bank translated the exchange rate automatically.
Possibly. If it has a Visa or MasterCard symbol on it. The maestro card may also work like a MasterCard on the web in the US.

The only problem is if you card does not have address verification it could be denied. Just try the card and see.
