Can you get credit using your EIN number?
Answers:
If you use an EIN number rather than your SSN to apply for credit, with the intent to hide a poor history attached to the SSN, it is fraud. So, while you may be able to get credit using an EIN number, you also run the risk of costing yourself a lot of money.
No your EIN# doesn't show a bank anything orther then you know how to fill out an application to receive an EIN#. They most likely will want your financial statements.
Not in the auto finance world.
My banks require a valid S.S.N. to even consider a loan.
There's no such thing. For EIN numbers that are attached to sole props, the personal guarantee and issuance of credit are based on the individual and the individual's SSN.
Hello,
I buy all my trucks with EIN # only. I do not understand the poster saying you can not? I do not even need to personally guarantee it.
Anyway back to the question. It would be fraud if you are trying to hide your bad personal credit. also until you get credit with your ein # you will have to personally guarantee anyway
If you have a very well established Corporation, then yes. Generally speaking the bank will request personal financial statements for any substancial loan.
