How do I find info of the collection companies on my credit report?

I have some collections that show on my credit report and I want to pay for it. How do I find their informations such as address and telephone number. Thank you

Answers:
Hello,

It is usually listed on the report. If for some reason it is not contact the CRA and simply ask. they will give you the contact info of the reporting company.

Make sure you do not pay until you get in writing from the creditor that they will delete or mark "paid as agreed" do not let them mark it "paid collection" they can be tricky.

Check out the links before you pay

Good Luck
Get a copy of your credit report and when u get it by mail it should have a phone number on the address on it..
All contact information for creditors and collection agencies should be listed with either mailing addresses and/or telephone numbers in your credit report.

You can also call the Federal Trade Commission at 1-877-382-4357. They may have information that you need.
