Is it me or is HSBC have the worst Customer Service ever?
Answers:
It's not you. We settled an account that was fraudulent to get it off my credit report and wrote a formal letter telling them to never issue credit in my name again. The next day I got a call telling me my credit card would be mailed within a few days. What a bunch of idiots. Get the number for your state attorney general's office and report them. Then write a letter to HSBC telling them they can only contact you via mail. They have to honor that by law.
thats what we get for having crappy enought credit that we HAVE to deal with them. once your credit is rebuilt, or better, you can dump them and go with citibank or capital one.
its probably the recruitment people that HSBC hired since they're hiring below the average rep standard (that's as per your experience).
You're borrowing money and not repaying it as agreed. How do you expect to be treated? You are the one changing the rules (by not paying on time), not them.
I think you could file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. To be honest with you, they have you over a barrel. I have them for a morgage and They give you a 15 day grace period, but they still charge you a late fee. What is up with that. I thought a grace period was generous, but god forbid if you actually needed to use it. I never wrote a check so I don't know their policy for that. I have had conversations with them. Some were plesent others not so much. If you get one who is like that, demand to speak to the supervior/manager in charge. You may get better serevice. Good luck.
You can contact the Better Business Bureau (BBB). They have a web site where they will answer any and all questions you have and you will be able to make a complaint right online. Good luck!
as for me I pay on time and the customer service is great..
You're right. HSBC does have the worst CS ever. I try not to call them. I plan to dump their one card. Iget pretty good service ont heir platinum card, so I think they're prejudice. It doesn't even show HSBC on it, just discover.
You're right, they're terrible. I accidentally went over the limit once and they sent me a nasty gram. I called them to say that I was sending in a payment and also taking something back I had bought, and they treated me like I was trash. When I paid off the card and went to cancel it, they asked why so I told them. They said, "Don't you think we deserve another chance?" I said."NO!" Anybody that treats their customers like that should be run out of town on a rail. Report them to the better business bureau (www.bbb.org) and also write a letter to their corporate office about their terrible customer service. The letter part might not do any good, but it'll at least let you blow off steam and make you feel a bit better.
