Get a credit card even if you have to get a secured one and use it for every day purchases like food and gas. Be careful never to exceed 30% of your credit limit and pay in full every month before the due date.
After about 10-12 months of this you should be able to get a better card and do the same thing with that one. Do not cancel the first card since 35% of your score is made up of payment history.
Keep this up for several more months and you will have re-established your credit to the point that you can start working on your installment credit.
Good credit can be achieved after bankruptcy, it just takes time and patience.
As you said it's begining all over again. Pretend what heppened in the past didn't, dwelling will only cause you stress.
Make sure to pay all of your bills early or ahead of time. Don't spend money you don't have. Try and keep your bills to a minimum. Time is the only thing that will really patch up your creddit raiting. So in the mean time just try to keep everything in line, stay organised.

You can start to reestablish good credit history by considering secured credit cards and even loans right after bankruptcy. Furthermore, you are likely to get low interest credit cards the longer you wait afterwards, two years being a good time frame. Bankruptcy does stay on your credit report for 10 years. But, during that time you can use secured credit cards and work to reestablish your good credit history through paying your bills on time. Doing this will help you to get better credit card and improve credit score.
