Ebay sellers?

is it so difficult to email someone and say, thanks for payment your item is being sent "this day" i swear i bought 5 things off ebay a few week ago and i received 2 and the rest ain't said nothing. i wanna leave them negative feedback for being lazy but they'll leave me bad feedback as revenge..

as a rule i believe as soon as you pay for something you should be given instant positive feedback, that way sellers would get off theie fat $$$$...

i hate ebay but i love the deals :(

I agree with you but just as you said they'd leave you negative feedback as revenge.
with the new feedback system you can give them positive feedback but give stars for other things.

How quickly did the seller dispatch the item?

How reasonable were the P&P charges?"

just give them 1 star for delivery time so other people know what they are like. youll still get positive back though.
I haven't had much luck with EBAY. I tried to sell a painting, there are so many listed that mine got buried.
As a seller, I only leave feedback once my buyer has left me feedback. Not necessarily so if they leave me bad feedback I can do the same but actually because a lot of people just don't leave feedback and I don't want to give someone a star if they're not going to do the same for me!
i totally agree, i had bought somethign and ths guy never sent me tickets, and instead he wrote the meanest stuff ever on my ebay and harassed me on my email. the sad part is ebay doesnt monitor this system enough and do somethign about these people who take ur money and dont ship as their promised date. disregard their ignorance, for the most part ebay gets good deals and sometime people are good sellers. make sure u should read other peopoles feedback before purchasing so u dont get hasseled again, good luck!
Some sellers do e-bay as a business and turn out thousands of products a day. They just don't have time to e-mail everyone to tell them the item has been mailed. When I buy something from e-bay I usually wait a reasonable amount of time (parcel post usually takes 6 - 10 days) and then if I don't have the product I'll e-mail the seller and ask if it has been sent. You might be able to request the seller send you an e-mail when the item is sent. I don't know if that would help or not. When you pay for your item there is usually a box for additional delivery instructions. I would try putting it there.
One lady we bought a fairly major purchase from was a long time in sending it. And didn't even get it all in the first mailing, we had to contact her with a list of what was missing. I was feeling angry, but then I found out the family circumstances. If you know more about what people's lives are like, it is possible to be more patient and forgiving. Even saying that, stick up for yourself and ask for what you've paid for. Contact the seller and ask your questions to them. They might have answers that will make your situation more bearable.
I so agree...I was even threatened with negative feedback. I have sold over 100 items on ebay and as soon as I receive payment I give feedback, but I am still waiting on feedback myself. What people do is if you wait 90 days (3 months) the feedback will drop off and you are not obligated to give them feedback. I e-mailed ebay about this and the said feedback doesn't matter and they can't make someone give you feedback. Ebay can be very frustrating,,,but you can get some good deals...you are right. So if you don't want to give feedback, just wait it won't affect your score or theirs.

I deal on EBay quite a lot and have only had a problem now and again (very rarely).Only some people send you an E-mail to say they have shipped your item which is nice, but generally most don't.I think like you that it doesn't hurt to send message to let you know it's been posted.Feedback from most people is only left after you leave it so you have a point when you say about leaving negative feedback.They are not going to leave good feedback if you don't.

i sell on ebay.if payment is made through pay pal i have it set up where they will automatically be notified as soon as i print there shipping label...the message tells them the date i printed the label and the tracking numbers so that my customers can track there package through the postal system and know exactly when to expect it..i think all sellers should do this .it takes very little time and this is a lot better than having a bunch of your customers wondering if there item was ever even shipped
If I have a problem with a seller, but the item eventually arrives, I leave positive feedback with a negative comment. They don't like it, but they can't give you negative feedback for positive feedback with a comment. I have had the same thing done to me. I told the guy the item was used and he seemed to think that was not enough of a description. He wanted to know every little nick and ding. So, he gave me positive feedback and complained in his comment.
yes can be mad ! but i waited week for feed back when i paid for the thing just minutes past winning it. others have e-mailed me with in seconds and others not a word ! it was fingers crossed it turned up and it did. i agree with you it's nice to have a e-mail then you can get all keen waiting for the post man to arrive
feedback is about the whole transaction not just that you paid on time and ebay recommend the buyer leave feedback first or lets the buyer know they are not happy about something

many a seller had their feedback ruined for something that could be easily resolved but the buyer was just too lazy to take it up with them

feedback should be honest not nice item great seller when the seller has taken several months to supply the goods

if you get negged go to the feedback forum and leave coll calm reply follow up to feedback left so other understand what happened

people do understand and can make up their own mind

feedback is about telling people what happened and so many scams exist because too many think I must keep my 100% rather than use feedback correctly to tell people What did happen or in this case in question what didn't happen

what if a buyer pays instantly, the seller lleaves instant positive feedback but the buyer turns out to be a con artist and starts a paypal chargeback after he has received the item.. do these buyers deserve instant postitive feedback?
sellers should get the items posted out asap though. I bought 5 badges 10 days ago and I emailed the seller and she says she will send them tomorrow.. another time I bought something and 3 weeks later the seller said yeah i'll post them tomorrow.. so i can see why you are annoyed
We are not all like that, I sell on EBay and keep in touch with my buyers till they receive their items, I always leave feedfack and expect others to do the same for me. I think you should be carefull about leaving neg feedback if you are in a bad mood, it can cause a lot of hassle. Some people only leave the feedback once a month or so as they are so busy. Calm down a bit and stop being so angry.
Well, as a seller, the reason why they do not leave instant feedback is because they might want to make sure the whole transaction is "really" completed. Some buyers might return the product saying that it's DOA and request a refund. Some claims that they never receive it but they actually did. Of course bidder with fast payment are really appreciated but sellers are really looking and see if the transaction is smooth or not.

I've always paid straight away through paypal (within minutes) when i buy something on eBay but......... there's a delay (you know, meteor hit the house, alien abducted me, wife ran off with Elvis yawn yawn yawn!) OR ( yes this has happened to me twice) they don't have the item i order AND PAID FOR! so they send me some other crap!!
and the cheek , i then have to give a positive mark so i can keep my 100% feedback score.

i totally agree. if you pay quickly then you should be given an instant positive mark.
